Hit level four since the "new" reset with this win. (Actually I think it reset at the beginning of March.) Opponent didn't play too well, I don't even know if he crept or not, but he attacked me with only about 5 ghouls and his Death Knight. He focused the DH with his ghouls, not the archers... 'nuff said.
The bases I guess are not too far apart but it seems like a long way to go, I think perhaps you're better off just creeping to start on this particular map. Anyways in our short fights I did fairly well focus-firing his ghouls. Picked up some extra ranged mercs as well while I was waiting for my AoL's to come online. Also took the Panda as 2nd hero which I used OK.
Here's the replay if you'd like to watch it. Not much to see really, pretty low calibre of play. Hopefully the next games will be a bit better, though it's nice to win.
Well he was level 19 but that doesn't mean much. Map was Echo Isles and I just went DH first in case he was going to use a mana hero, plus I didn't really know what else to do to be honest. I suppose I'll try Priestess first sometime. I read an article on WCReplays.com about innovation, something I don't really do any of.
Anyways plan was to scout him out and see if he's going dual rax hunts, but no he went for an archer build with Dark Ranger. He lost an archer right off the bat chasing a wisp and basically I knew right there he wasn't a very good player. Then I was in his base with my DH, killed a wisp stopped a moonwell being built and he TP'ed back! He may have been trying to fast-expand at his natural using DR skeletons? (
I'll have to watch the replay.)
Then I had about 4 hunts and I circled around for a bit then attacked his natural creeping spot and he was there, he lost a bunch of archers and I had some ok micro to save a hunt and he left the game!
